As I write this, I’m shivering. May is one day away, yet it is 49 degrees and windy. And you, readers, as you glance through these pages in June, you’re probably wiping sweat from your brow, as the Alabama summer heat has finally set in. I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for a few days at the beach — to bury my feet in the hot, grainy sand. And I’m sure you wouldn’t mind splashing around in the crisp, emerald-colored ocean. In the meantime, while drinking hot chocolate with my space heater on high, I’ve researched some must-have bathing suits, sunscreen, beach towels, flip flops and sunglasses — just to be prepared when the warm weather arrives.
