It took several years of playing and changing musicians to form today's Trotline. Gil grew up a small Ethiopian boy in South Georgia. He began playing guitar at birth. He would often play the guitar when his family would get together. Garry has spent most of his career in music trying not to become famous or successful. Ironically, he has been quite successful at it. It would simply be a waste of time to mention all of the artists that he has played with, as you have never heard of any of them. Born in Mobile, AL in 1984. Growing up in Montgomery, he began singing at a very early age around school and church until one day Alex realized he would need more than just a cute face and a voice to impress the ladies. So at age 12 he picked up the guitar and has been playing ever since at various clubs and frat parties or just about anywhere. In October 2005 Alex got the call to pick up the bass and sing backup vocals for Trotline. Dustin is from Chelsea, Alabama (a few miles outside of Birmingham). He grew up playing the guitar and singing at family gatherings, high school parties, camp fires, local events. zydecobirmingham.com
